SwiftComm Modem

The SwiftComm Modem is a communications device allowing one or more PINpads to communicate with financial acquirer hosts.

Supporting both dialup and leased line networks, the SwiftComm can be connected to a PINpad device directly, or attached to a PC based gateway provideing concurrent transaction processing for both single and multi-lane retail sites.

 

Features

The Quest SwiftComm Modem provides a simple communication option to connect to your financial instituion. It attaches to your PC or POS, and supports dialup or leased lines. The SwiftComm can be used provide either a primary or redundant communication solution for retail sites.

Reduced communications costs
The SwiftComm allows multiple PINpads to concurrently share a single dialup or leased line, reducing the number of communications services needed for EFTPOS communications

Communications redundancy
For stores using primary IP or ISDN/leased line communications, adding a SwiftComm and dialup line to a store network delivers a backup communication path direct to a financial acquirer

Easy setup
Configuration of the SwiftComm is managed using Quest's PC based subsystem, EftposPlus

Diagnostics
LEDs positioned on the front panel of the SwiftComm enable a user to quickly identify the communications status and troubleshoot network problems

Small footprint
Designed to maximise available counterspace, the SwiftComm is small enough to be mounted underneath a counter with a special mounting screw.
